The UK has a history of falconry going back over centuries. Falconry did not start out as a sport but as a way to put food on the table, you would train your bird of prey to catch food for you, your family and your bird. Over the years falconry has seen a big change in the UK as well as the rest of the world and nowadays it is seen more in a commercial and sport setting than a way of finding food.
We still fly our birds in the traditional way and if you are interested please click here for a hunting experience.
One of the biggest changes seen in the UK is the use of birds of prey from all over the world. The UK has such an amazing range of birds of prey and here at Carmarthenshire Falconry we thought we would specialise by demonstrate a GREAT BRITISH bird of prey experience.
This experience is all about British birds of prey that you can see around the skies in the UK. Carmarthenshire Falconry has a number of British birds of prey (increasing each year) that you can come and handle and/or fly to enjoy the thrill of working with such majestic birds.
